Common Questions About Dentistry

I don’t have dental insurance. Do you have a credit plan or financing?
We work with CareCredit and are able to assist you with looking into financing for your dental procedures. We also accept all major credit cards, cash and checks.

At what age should I start bringing my child to the dentist?
Your child’s first dental appointment should ideally be just before their third birthday. However, you can bring him or her in after their first tooth appears.

How often should I brush my teeth?
You should brush your teeth at least twice a day. It is best to brush them after every meal if this is possible.

How often should I floss?
To help remove any plaque buildup, floss at least one per day.

What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a cosmetic procedure where a fake tooth (or multiple teeth) is inserted in your jaw or gum. It replaces or restores a missing tooth in a similar manner to a bridge.

What are the causes of gum disease?
Gum disease is a bacterial infection that is caused by a buildup of plaque. Common signs of this disease are bleeding gums and loose teeth. It can be prevented via daily brushing and flossing.
