Regular Teeth Cleanings

Prophylaxis is a regular cleaning of healthy gingival tissue to help individuals maintain oral health. A routine examination will also help to prevent any oral health problems.
Digital Radiograph

State-Of-The-Art X-Rays

Digital radiographs (aka X-rays) are taken periodically to examine the jawbone, the roots of the teeth, the contacts between the teeth which can’t be seen clinically and teeth that have yet to erupt. We look for the following on your X-rays: decay, abscesses, periodontal disease, tumors, and trauma.

Sealants and Fluoride

Sealants are made of a white material placed on the biting surface of molars. They are usually placed on children when the 6- and 12-year old molars erupt but have been proven to be beneficial to adults as well.

A fluoride varnish treatment is sometimes placed on the teeth for adults who have a high susceptibility to cavities. Fluoride has also been proven to help alleviate temperature sensitivity due to root exposure.
